WHY IS RUNNING HARD ?
A close friend of mine once commented about my son that whenever he sees my son, he is hopping around or running around while playing with his friends but he is never standing still. When I come back home and ring the doorbell, I can always see him run to open the door. Whenever I visit any school and look at the playground I see children running around. The question is why is it that running comes so naturally to children but as we grow it seems as if it is almost impossible to run? Kids start running as soon as they learn to walk. No one ever told them that they can’t run. No one ever told them that their knees will hurt. No one ever even told them to not run or to run. But they do. The fact is running is a natural activity. "We are all born to run".
The question is then why does an average adult find running so difficult?
It is only our past experiences or our current lifestyle, our current work-life balance, our current state of physical activity, our current level of physical fitness and more importantly years of mental conditioning that makes us believe that we can’t run. But let me tell you no matter what the past is or what your current condition is, unless there are genuine medical reasons, there is absolutely no reason that with right training and right mindset why you can’t run and cherish the wonderful benefits of running.
All you need is the right mindset and a personal coach to help you accomplish your goals.

Coach Sanjeev

MY RUNNING PHILOSOPHY
I believe there are some simple rules to be followed to enjoy life time running.
1. Never compare yourself with any other runner. As long as you are beating your own past performance, you are good.
2. Gradual improvements over a period of time that can be sustained, have long-lasting benefits compared to short-lived bouts of hard training.
3. Too fast, Too much Too soon is good recipe for injury. Be careful when you ramp up!!!
4. Training is much more important and fun than the actual event.
5. Every race is not a PR. At times take it easy and have fun.
6. Don't run alone. Join a local group. It's much more easy and fun.
7. Life is a marathon, not a sprint.
